UAE warns Iran cannot be trusted on Strait of Hormuz navigation UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash has warned that Iran cannot be relied upon to guarantee safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on X on Friday, Gargash said no unilateral arrangements led by Iran could be trusted to secure freedom of passage, following what he described as Tehran’s “treacherous aggression” against neighbouring states.
