In a report published by the Justice and Home Affairs Select Committee on Settlement, Citizenship and Deprivation on Tuesday, the committee recognised the need for deprivation of citizenship orders in the most serious cases, but expressed concern about the legal test used to deprive people of their citizenship. “The Committee recognises the need for and value of Deprivation of Citizenship Orders to deal with the most severe of cases,” the report said.
