UN nuclear watchdog: Strikes near Iran’s nuclear power plant ‘must stop’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi has called for attacks on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant to stop, warning they “pose a very real danger to nuclear safety”. Strikes near the operating plant “could cause a severe radiological accident with harmful consequences for people and the environment in Iran and beyond,” said the International Atomic Energy Agency in a post to X. However, the statement failed to name the US and Israel as the forces behind these attacks and did not propose that any further action be taken.
