UN says Israeli military obstructed peacekeepers in south Lebanon United Nations deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq said the Israeli military obstructed UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on two occasions on Thursday. Speaking to reporters, Haq said an Israeli tank stopped peacekeepers escorting the Lebanese Red Cross south of al-Bayada and pointed its main gun at the convoy before ordering it to leave the area. “The convoy was later able to proceed,” he said.
