Urgent: Explosion heard from Strait of Hormuz -- Iran's state media

TEHRAN, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- An explosion was heard Wednesday evening from the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's state-run IRIB news agency reported, citing its reporter based in the southern Jask County, Hormozgan province. It added that the firing of several shots at the waterway were also heard in the county prior to the blast.
