Urgent: Iran's IRGC announces new maritime restricted area near Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement Wednesday that the restricted maritime zone will stretch from Chabahar into parts of the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea, and any ship that passes through the prohibited area of the Strait of Hormuz will be sanctioned.
