US army: Iranian threat to Hormuz 'degraded' The US military has said that US-Israeli attacks on an Iranian underground weapons facility has "degraded" the country's ability to control the Strait of Hormuz. The Commander of US Central Command said in a video statement posted on X: "We not only took out the facility, but also destroyed intelligence support sites and missile radar relays that were used to monitor ship movements," further claiming that the attack had undermined "Iran's ability to threaten freedom of navigation in and around the strait of Hormuz". "We will not stop pursuing these targets," he said.
