US Centcom says it redirected 70 vessels since blockade of Hormuz began US Central Command (Centcom) released a post to X on Thursday which claimed its forces have “redirected” 70 commercial ships and “disabled” four others to “ensure compliance” of its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This follows a statement from Iran which announced it would allow commercial vessels to pass if they comply with the Iranian navy, and reports that multiple Chinese ships crossed the Strait on the eve of Trump’s meeting with Xi Jinping.
