US says striking underground targets in Iran The US military said it is carrying out precision strikes on underground military targets deep inside Iran, as the conflict continues to escalate. US Central Command also said reports of a bombing of a gym and residential area in the city of Lamerd earlier in the war were false. Iranian authorities said recent US-Israeli strikes hit the Tawfiq pharmaceutical factory, damaging a research centre, and added that 24 medical facilities have been targeted since the start of the war.
