Vance says US and Iran to establish direct military channel with IRGC US Vice President JD Vance says Washington and Tehran have agreed to establish a direct channel with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to help prevent further escalation. In an interview with the British right-wing outlet UnHerd, Vance said the arrangement would involve Iranian and US military officials meeting in Doha to resolve disputes. "They were like, 'OK, fine, we'll send somebody from the IRGC to go hang out in Doha with somebody from [US Central Command]' and that's how we're going to settle a lot of these disputes," Vance said, describing discussions with Iranian officials.
