Venezuela Under Siege: What Should Progressives Do

Ever since Hugo Chvez became Venezuelas president in 1999 and initiated the Bolivarian Revolution, the country has been under siege by the US. The aggression escalated with the kidnapping of its lawful president, part of a larger andacceleratingassertion of US imperial power worldwide. The Bolivarian Revolution survived but is in a forcedtactical retreat.
