UK summons Iranian diplomat over attack on journalist The UK Foreign Office has summoned Iran's most senior diplomat in the country following the sentencing of two Romanian nationals over their role in an attack on journalist Pouria Zeraati in 2024. "The summons follows the sentencing of two Romanian nationals for their role in the attack on Iran International journalist Pouria Zeraati in March 2024," a Foreign Office spokesperson said. "The judge concluded that this attack was carried out in the interests of, and on behalf of, the Iranian state," the spokesperson added.
UN experts call for release of detained Gaza doctor UN experts have called on Israel to immediately release Palestinian physician Dr Hussam Abu Safiya and all health and care workers held in what they described as arbitrary detention. The experts said Abu Safiya's continued detention without charge or trial reflects Israel's systematic targeting of Palestinian health workers and the continued destruction of Gaza's health system. They said the targeting was aimed at inflicting conditions leading to the mental and physical destruction of Palestinians.
Israeli police investigate officer filmed throwing stun grenade into car Israeli police have opened an investigation after CCTV footage showed a border police officer throwing a stun grenade into a car carrying young Palestinians during a raid on Qalandiya refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. The footage, released by Israeli rights group B'Tselem, shows an officer approaching a car and shouting at its occupants during Sunday's raid. After a brief exchange, the officer reaches for his belt, grabs a stun grenade and throws it through the open door, which he then pushes shut as the driver tries to get out.

Two Knesset members face Hind Rajab Foundation genocide incitement complaint The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed a criminal complaint in the Netherlands against Israeli Knesset members Ram Ben Barak and Moshe Solomon, accusing them of incitement to genocide. The complaint was submitted ahead of their participation in the 33rd annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague, from 4 to 8 July. HRF said that Ben Barak, who heads Israel's delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, has repeatedly promoted the “voluntary migration” of Palestinians from Gaza.
Israeli forces demolish two houses in Ramallah, detain four Palestinians in Jenin Citing head of the Shuqba Village Council, Khalaf Qadah, WAFA reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed the al-Attari area of the village and demolished a house belonging to Wael Salama Qadah and another belonging to the son of Abdul Qader Shalash. The combined area of the two homes was approximately 330 square meters. Qadah said the forces fired stun grenades at residents during the demolition.
